Wind Energy in Bulgaria: A Joint Venture by “Power to Wind” and “Power to X”

Two leading Bulgarian companies, Power to Wind and Power to X, in collaboration with partners from Burgas, are embarking on two major wind energy projects in the Burgas region. These projects signify a substantial leap in Bulgaria’s renewable energy landscape and are set to propel the country towards a more sustainable energy future.

The first project is a substantial wind farm located in the municipality of Aytos, boasting an impressive capacity of 208 MW. This facility will be among the largest in Bulgaria, significantly bolstering the country’s renewable energy capacity and diversifying its energy mix.

The second project, situated in the municipality of Kameno, has a capacity of 16 MW. Despite its smaller scale, this wind farm will contribute meaningfully to Bulgaria’s green energy production and support the local economy.

Power to Wind specializes in the manufacture and installation of wind measurement masts. With extensive experience and a highly skilled team, the company is well-positioned to ensure the successful execution of these projects.

Power to X focuses on the comprehensive design and engineering of renewable energy facilities. Their expertise will guarantee that the projects meet the highest industry standards, from conceptualization to completion.

Martin Konov, CEO of Power to Wind, stated:

“This marks a significant milestone for Bulgaria. Over the past five years, the wind industry has seen little development. We believe these projects will change that, not only by increasing renewable energy production but also by creating new jobs and contributing to regional economic development.”

Konov emphasized that these initiatives will pave the way for future wind energy projects and attract more investments to the sector. “Wind energy holds tremendous potential in Bulgaria, and these projects are just the beginning of what could be substantial growth in this area,” he added.

The implementation of these projects will position the Burgas region as a leader in wind energy production in Bulgaria. They will support the country’s goals of reducing carbon emissions and transitioning to more sustainable energy sources.

The wind energy projects by Power to Wind and Power to X in the Burgas region will enhance Bulgaria’s energy balance while providing economic and social benefits to the local community. These initiatives underscore the importance of investing in renewable energy and demonstrate the companies’ commitment to sustainable development and innovation in the energy sector.
